Conversions, Posting, Scripting & Maintenance
(2005)
- Revamped all content in the W.W. Norton Comparative
Politics Website (for a total of 10 sections). Began
with MS Word documents, Adobe Illustrator images,
printouts with markup, and the old version
of the site. Corrected documents and images;
converted documents to HTML and images to GIFs and
JPEGs; created new CSS entries; modified Javascript and
ASP scripting. Linked all glossary entries within
text to specific points within glossary popup windows and
used CSS layers routine to display footnotes whenever
the mouse pointer hovers over the footnote number.

Web Site Redesign
|
|
Artist's Website Writing, Coding, Design
(2004-2005)
- Stage 1: Beginning from the client's
framed site, created CSS, cleaned as much code as budget
allowed, revamped the design to eliminate frames (for search engine
friendliness), wrote scripts to display artwork, wrote copy and submitted
to search engines.
Client quote: "I came home and looked at the
site and it made my day."
|
|
|
|
- Stage 2: Added drag-and-drop thumbnail positioning to the administration
section of our custom PHP-MySQL art gallery script, allowing the artist
full creative control to "hang" works of art at any point on
a virtual "wall." Behind the new interface is JavaScript created
dynamically by PHP.
Client quote: "I hate to swear, but this is ___ing amazing."
