Boneclub arrested again

By Phillip E. Honstein

Ferndale resident Joe Boneclub, age 64, was arrested last Thursday and booked into the Whatcom County Jail on charges of drug trafficking. Boneclub has had previous arrests and convictions that include narcotics convictions.

Boneclub is under arrest on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, and felon in possession of a firearm. He is alleged to have sold cocaine to undercover agents.

The arrest occurred in the 6200 block of Portal Way and was the result of a two-month investigation by the Northwest Regional Drug Task Force.

The task force was assisted by the Ferndale Police, the Whatcom Interagency Narcotics Team, and a Washington State Patrol narcotics canine for the raid of Boneclub's home.

At the time of the arrest, Boneclub was found to be in possession of cocaine. A warrant search of his residence located approximately one ounce of cocaine and two firearms. Approximately $600 in suspected drug proceeds was seized from Boneclub.

Ironically, the raid occurred on the same day as Boneclub was scheduled to appear at the Whatcom County Superior Court for an arrest of last February. That arrest also involved charges of drug trafficking and possession of handguns.

Boneclub was out on bail at the time of his latest arrest.

Boneclub's wife, 39-year-old Pamela J. Coover, was booked into Whatcom County Jail for suspicion of violation of her probation.
